The Pininfarina-styled Ferrari 308 GTB built by Carrozzeria Scaglietti, new mid-engine V8 engine was equipped with four twin-choke Weber 40DCNF carburetors and single coil ignition. Ferrari produced 3219 GTS’s and 2897 GTB’s steel body cars from 1975 to 1980. Only 808 of the 308 GTB fiberglass versions were made.
The Ferrari 308 GTB and 308 GTS are V8 mid-engine, 2-seater was manufactured from 1975 to 1985. It was a very successful design for Ferrari. In 1986 Ferrari introduced the 328. Produced from 1986 to 1989.
In 1980 Ferrari introduced a fuel injected system using the Bosch K-Jetronic, The new Ferrari model was the 308 GTBi and GTSi. Ferrari produced 494 GTBi’s and 1743 GTSi’s.
1982 Paris Motor Show, Ferrari launched the 308 quattrovalvole, in GTB and GTS. The new engine was a 4 V cylinder head with sodium valves. The engine produced increased reliability and performance. The gearbox was upgraded. The Ferrari 308 QV cars were wonderful cars. Between 1982 and 1985 the model was produced in a total of 3042 GTS and only 748 GTB examples.
The 328 model presented a softening of the wedge profile of its predecessor, with a redesigned nose that had a more rounded shape, which was complemented by similar treatment to the tail valance panel. The revised nose and tail sections featured body color bumpers integral with the valance panels. The new upholstery design and stitching, revised door panels and pulls and modern switches. The 328 GTS continued in production for four years. The GTS production was 6068 and the GTB 1344 produced.
