This 1965 Ferrari 275 GTB Short Nose was delivered new in Italy in 1965 it was imported to the United States in 1974. In 1977 it was acquired by Dave Cowart an internationally recognized racecar driver that famously campaigned a BMW M1 and a March GTP car Red Lobster livery in the 24 Hours of Daytona, 12 Hours of Sebring in the IMSA series. During his ownership, he hired Dave Bunkfeldt of Vintage Restoration Services to completely rebuild the engine.




The car was sold to a prominent collector on the West Coast in 2004. During his ownership he had the car brought down to bear metal for the restoration. Any body repairs used all proper metal materials. A new interior and headliner were installed during this period as well.



During his 20 year ownership, he put less than 3000 miles on the car. Acquired by the present owner in 2024, he commissioned to have the suspension completely rebuilt. In addition, all new brake rotors, calipers and brake pads were installed. The Borrani wheels were reconditioned. The engine has been tuned and all new filters and fluids have been installed.





The interior is in very good condition. There are no cracks or pulls on the dash. The wood insert on the dashboard is in excellent condition. The chrome is in great condition with no pitting or rust.
